The Mindful Eating program is a technique to help gain control over your eating habits. Mindful eating involves purposefully and non-judgmentally paying attention to what is happening right now within your body, mind and heart, as well as, what is happening outside in the environment.
In this program, you will be introduced to mindfulness with a focus on mindful eating. We will explore “the seven hungers” including, eye, nose, mouth, stomach, body, mind, and heart hunger that commonly drive our eating. Additionally, we will mindfully investigate level of hunger, craving, fullness, satisfaction, eating patterns, body sensations, and gratitude for the body. Through classroom exercises, mindfulness practices, home practices, and lectures during the six-week program, you can gain insight and awareness into your eating.
As part of the mindfulness training you will learn the scientific basis of how we form:
· Eating habits
· How to work with cravings
· Stress vs. hunger
· Goals and staying on track when you slip up
· Coping with triggers
The Mindful Eating Program Consists of:
six weekly classes 2 hours each (12 hours direct instruction) and customized workbook.
The program fee for Mindful Eating group class is $250.00.
Attendance at all classes and regular home practice is recommended in order to gain the full benefits of the program.
